TOGETHER - To Get Higher Education & Research
Development, promotion and facilitation of inclusive access to higher education on human and sustainable development for civil society actors and civil servants.
In particular:
Since 2003, the Government of Kenya has had a systematic dialogue with donors on aid and development effectiveness and, since May 2018, has adopted the Effective Development Cooperation Strategic Plan 2018-2022 co-chaired by AICS within the framework of the Coordination Group on Development Effectiveness (GPEDC). Through the implementation of planned activities aimed at both civil servants and staff of Development Partners, the intervention aims to advance collaboration and joint management of programmes and bridge the "knowledge gap" on development issues, the cause of a structural weakness in the effectiveness of projects that are implemented in the country, as well as to provide tools and empirical data through the development of applied research and expertise in this area. On this front, the present project intends to strengthen higher educational activities already underway and to also promote research and evaluation activities on the effectiveness of actions and programmes, through the already existing collaboration between universities (Pavia, Kenyatta and Tangaza College), development agencies (AICS and UNDP) and CISP.
