Women and people with disabilities in action for an eco-sustainable agro-pastoral system; in Niger
Description
CISP is a partner in the consortium led by CBM Italia in the implementation of this intervention, which is the second phase of a joint intervention previously implemented in the same region, in order to strengthen food and nutritional security in the Zinder region through sustainable agriculture and the provision of drinking water with a particular focus on the inclusion of people with disabilities and women's empowerment.

OBJECTIVES
Facilitate and improve access to food, drinking water and resilient and sustainable agri-food production systems in the departments of Magaria , Kantché and Mirriah.
Activities
Development of income-generating activities in the field of food processing, crafts and small-scale trade (Study and selection of target supply chains, Installation of processing and marketing units, Training of trainers on agricultural product processing techniques, Opening of small local shops for the sale of products).
Training and support for women's associations in business management, product marketing and savings management.
Output and results
Agricultural production is strengthened and the fruit and vegetable and cereal sectors in the departments of Magaria, Kantché and Mirriah are inclusive, resilient and diversified.
