The meeting will take place in two different moments: the first day will be dedicated to the discussion of the results of the regional evaluation exercise with niños niñas y adolescentes (NNA) (boys, girls and adolescents), the learning generated and the consequent lines of action in the field of formal and informal education. The second day will be dedicated to deepening the characteristics that action aimed at strengthening the SEC must assume in the areas of migration, labor and social coexistence.
Background
There is a need to have SEC evaluation instruments to carry out measurements in the member countries of the table and to carry out a comparative study at the regional level.
In response to this need, MESACTS has implemented in recent years in the educational sector a regional evaluation action focused on the constructs of emotional regulation, self-esteem and school well-being. This action has been replicated in 2021, paying attention to the impact of the pandemic on the emotional well-being of children and adolescents.
Taking this articulation into account, the objectives of the event are:
- presentation of the results of the regional exercise to assess the emotional regulation, self-esteem and school well-being of children and adolescents in times of COVID through the application of the RE-MESACTS questionnaire applied between February 2021 and January 2022 in seven countries of the region;
- share the methodological learning of the application of the tool and exchange their pedagogical perspectives;
- socialize and launch a process of collective construction of public policy recommendations, referring to the field of education, based on the diagnosis and analysis of the application of the Re-MESACTS questionnaire;
- schedule the preparation of a publication to disseminate processes and results of the evaluation experience;
- develop new lines of action for MESACTS in relation to the areas of migration, labor and social coexistence.
