Socio-economic inclusion in Agadez: principles, resources and local needs combined with universal knowledge and traditions of earthen architecture
This project is a part of the response to the unprecedented migratory crisis in Europe and the fight against the root causes of irregular migration. In particular, combatting the issue of trafficking and offering both direct and indirect alternatives for the social and professional integration of young people through the immense architectural tradition of Niger.
The action proposes to contribute to the socioeconomic and cultural inclusion of the population of Agadez through knowledge sharing and the development and valorisation of urban planning, as well as construction techniques in bioclimatic and ecological earthen architecture.
U4C strengthens regional stability by responding to unemployment and other challenges with a programme of immediate impact.

Overall objective
To contribute to regional stability and better management of migration by addressing the root causes of irregular migration, increasing economic opportunities and local development through sustainable management of the environment.
Specific objective
To support sustainable local economic development that is resilient to climate change through bioclimatic construction and an inclusive urban planning model.
