Strengthening the capability of the Guatemalan “Network of Fair Trade Small Producers” to access markets and promote inclusive economic growth.
The COMPYMES project aims at strengthening the management and market access capabilities of small producers belonging to the different cooperatives and groups of the Guatemalan Network of Fair Trade Small Producers (Coordinadora Guatemalteca de Comercio Justo—CGCJ) that are already part of the fair trade system.
The project utilises the existing production and supply potential of small producers and, through collaboration, transforms the rural organisations that group them into real assets for obtaining more income and improving living conditions.
This creates new prospects for the creation of decent jobs and inclusive, sustainable development, particularly for families, women and young people.
Overall objective
To contribute to poverty reduction by promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
Specific objective
To improve the competitiveness, commercial capacity and access to markets of small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives and associations of small producers integrated in the 'Guatemalan Network of Fair Trade Small Producers'.
